Tactical Gear
When would something be considered "assault tactical gear?" Take the camouflage shirt as an example. The colors and patterns on such a tee may take inspiration from classic American military uniforms. With that said, they would not actually be considered tactical gear because their only purpose was to mke the wearer look cool. Real members of the military would wear clothes with camouflage patterns because they fit the situation and provide the wearer with a practical function.
We did not describe this distinction to disparage fans of camouflage tees — their tastes are perfectly valid. We just wanted to illustrate the true meaning of tactical gear. This umbrella term encompasses such accessories as specialized backpacks, combat boots, tactical watches, and all manner of clothing items. The original concept was to give military members that extra bit of protection. Since then, though, American civilizians have snapped up their producsts and stash them away in case of emergency.
